I'm going to try to make some playable ships for Nicks sci-fi games. I've started with some deck plans and am planning to build some ship structure around them to make it more interesting.
I left a question topic at post apoc about this, if anyone has any suggestions please let me know!

Hi,
ReplyDeleteAre you doing this in 28mm or 15mm?
Steve
Steve, In 28mm. I've just been looking around some more and cannot find squat. I wish I was more creative!
ReplyDeleteMy first thought was to suggest the WWG starship models but I think that would be too time consuming for you, plus you have your old problem of how to avoid warping.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, there is a blog I follow called Lucky Joe's Place and he recently posted a sci-fi "dungeon" made from Hirst Arts moulds. You can view it here http://ljshobbyspot.blogspot.com/2010/08/space-dungeon-finished.html
I know you are a fan of Hirst Arts and when you see Joe's layout it might persuade to take that route. If this is a no-no, I'll see what else I can think of.
Bryan, you know I love Hirst Arts but at this time I better lay off. Time and money are the drivers here. Besides, the kids will have this stuff when I'm not around and they tend to wreck a bit of stuff still. I just got some more info on this project, I will post it at the post apoc site where this started.
ReplyDeleteHave you joined the deck plans Yahoo group?

Plenty of plans to be had here.
Steve
Thanks for the link Steve, I will go check it out. This was the kinda stuff I was looking for.
ReplyDeleteToo bad we didn't have (OK - rather me than we) enough energy to continue gaming this past Sunday b/c I really liked these plans. Looking forward to do some sci-fi mayhem amongst the decks of this ship.
ReplyDeleteWow I'm impressed! How do you make the deck plan? Do you have a computer program or do you use download it from some where?
