Sharp Practice - Probe at the Bridge Part 1

I'm still learning Sharp Practice, a most excellent game by Too Fat Lardies which handles large skirmish actions in the age of gunpowder.  This is a game we played last weekend where we are experimenting to see how large of an action the rules can handle.  We put an entire battalion of French up against approx. 3 companies of mostly elite British light infantry.  One reason I really like SP is that it handles close formations very nicely in addition to skirmishing.  You will also notice that I have added some terrain accessories from Angel Barracks.  They have all sorts of interesting goodies for your 6mm games and I will be reviewing them soon in another post.

  2. Can you tell I love the sheep? It is those little touches that provide laughter at the table. I can't wait for my livestock reinforcements to get here.

  5. What a beautiful board, Willy! I totally agree that the little touches can help bring a game to life.

You may like the sheep, Willy, but I suspect Jonesy likes them a lot more, LOL!

  7. Scotland? I was pretty sure that Jones is from Wales.

(disclaimer: I don't know anything about sheep related habits in Wales)

  8. Because sheep can hear a zipper a mile off!

    yuk yuk yuk

I am quite sure this applies to Welshmen as Oliver has noted, but the guy who told me the joke was a Scot so I guess he localized it.

  9. Oh, and I used the name Jones specifically because Michael already told me that a Welshman would be the most probable culprit.
I'm probably getting Mike in trouble with his Welsh customers about now :)

Here in Texas it is goats. Every guy should own a couple. They can also mow the lawn and if they piss you orf you can simply grill them.
